Personality Test…what do they really mean?

As some of you know, I am a part of the social work community (unlicensed). We tend to discuss various topics as we immerge ourselves into these types of communities. Personality test is a topic that came up. Some people have strong opinions about them and feel that they do not tell the complete story while others feel that they are helpful in everyday left as well as moving forward. Well, I am on the fence. I am FOR Personality Test… Personality tests have various reasons for being completed by individuals. Whether you complete it on your own or for an agency, they can give you some insight on yourself as well as your surroundings. There are so many different types of tests, and each has its strength to assist in you becoming/improving the person that you already are. Take this test for instance, 16Personalities , it says that I am INFJ-T. Welcome and let’s get our S.W.A.G. on! It’s been a journey and challenging few months for me in different aspects of my life. It took some time and many attempts, but I am back with a different approach. Although S.W.A.G. was just thought of, it’s been in the making for some time now. Let’s go back to where it began in 2014… The Beginning In 2014, I was eager to advance my career. In doing so, I took many tests as well as visited a couple of unemployment agencies. These tests and visited all had one thing in common – social work or social services. I could see it as I already had a degree in Criminal Justice focusing on Corrections. It was just in my nature to “help” or “assist” others. So, I went back to school after 11 years. Fast forward to 2016, I did all the field work and obtain my Bachelor of Social Work.
